  National Close the Gap Day will be held on Thursday 22nd March 2012, and Oxfam Australia is asking for your help to put in place a genuine partnership between Government and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. The deaths will see the humanitarian charity end all activities in the area due to fears for the safety of it’s staff, including the closure of two separate 120-bed medical facilities.

Marine parks cover 345,000km square across the Great Barrier Reef, yet still 14 million tonnes of mud, pesticides and harmful chemicals run into the reef waterways every year.
