Sydney FC Partnership with UNICEF Australia

Sydney FC is pleased to join the ranks of football giants Barcelona and Manchester United by joining in partnership with the UNICEF charity. The club intend to work alongside UNICEF to help improve child rights in Asia and around the world. With football playing such a huge role in people’s lives across the globe, it’s great to see some of the world’s biggest clubs joining the children’s charity in the fight to give the less fortunate a helping hand in life.

The new partnership starts this weekend as the Sky Blues takes on Wellington Phoenix, with all you UNICEF monthly donators being allowed in absolutely free! This is to say thank for all your support over the years in the fight to improve children’s rights around the world. Foreign passport holders will also be able to purchase 2 tickets for just $10 if they take their passport into any Ticketek outlet before the game at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Chief Executive of UNICEF Australia, Norman Gillespie, said –

UNICEF recognises the critical role that sport plays in children’s lives. It is vital to their health, happiness and well-being. This partnership with Sydney FC will galvanise what is set to be a significant year for UNICEF and sport in Australia, fostering The World Game to bring about positive change in communities. Nelson Mandela said that ‘Sport has the power to change the world’ and Sydney FC’s partnership with UNICEF reflects how we are using sport to bring people and communities together around the globe.
